The GABA Marketplace Center
The GABA Marketplace Center is a Michigan-based management company dedicated to fostering economic growth and trade among African, Caribbean, and local businesses throughout the Midwest, with a strong focus on Michigan. As an initiative of the Global African Business Association Network (GABA Network), we serve as a centralized hub that connects entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders with the resources, networks, and support needed to thrive in a competitive global market.
In partnership with the Duchess Group of Companies (Duchess Naturals Limited) in Abuja, Nigeria, the program aims to connect entrepreneurs, small businesses, and stakeholders to essential resources, markets, and partnerships, enabling cross-border trade and investment opportunities between Africa and Michigan.

The Focus Moving Forward
The GABA Marketplace Center centralizes trade efforts, connecting the Midwest USA with West African resources with key logistics and networks.
This program will handle storage, processing, and distribution of agro-products and minerals while leveraging states like Michigan for ports for seamless trade. By fostering key business development, these areas will stimulate entrepreneurship, create jobs across the value chain, and attract foreign investment in industries like EV battery production and agro-processing.
In addition, the GABA Marketplace Center will specialize in distributing products for various African/Caribbean products for businesses located within the Midwest USA.
We aim to be the most dependable distribution chain in the local area that can be trusted to store and secure any kind of product.
Through the GABA Marketplace Center we are working to do the following:
- Development of a logistic system between Africa and the State of Michigan, Ohio and Ontario, Canada.
- Franchise store opportunities.
- Expand African American businesses into sub-Sahara Africa to create supply chain with AfCFTA.
- Designate local urban communities as AfCFTA/AGOA communities in the U.S. through a sister city or sister county concept.
- Creation of the Michigan - Africa Trade Hub (the MATH Centre)

Additionally, the GABA Marketplace Center will offer the following:
- Opportunities for African-Caribbean entrepreneurs to build real interdisciplinary skills needed to turn their creative ideas into reality and acquire business-related experience.
- Opportunities to connect import-export business focused resources and support.
- A unique set of services designed to assist new and current business owners with their specific needs.
